How it is used
When a float switch shuts off the water flow, pressure builds up in the pipe and the pressure switch recognizes this and switches off the pump motor when the tank is full. This is useful when the destination water tank is a long distance away from the pump (long electronic float switch wire runs can be a problem when lightning strikes above the wire).
